THE SPIRIT (GERMANY)
EXCLUSIVE SPECIAL PERFORMANCE – “SOUNDS FROM THE VORTEX” (2017) PERFORMED IN ITS ENTIRETY!
One of Germany’s most impressive black/death metal acts, THE SPIRIT, will make their appearance at DARKNESS GUIDES US 2027 with a very special performance dedicated to the album that started it all!
Formed in Saarbrücken in 2015, THE SPIRIT have established a distinctive sound built upon razor-sharp tremolo riffs, relentless drumming, intricate guitar melodies and an unmistakable cosmic atmosphere. Drawing inspiration from the melodic aggression of Dissection and the technical precision of death metal, their music combines ferocity with elaborate songwriting, creating a sound that is both devastating and deeply atmospheric.
For DARKNESS GUIDES US 2027, the band will perform their outstanding debut album, Sounds from the Vortex (2017), in its entirety!
Originally released in 2017, Sounds from the Vortex introduced THE SPIRIT’s unique vision of cosmic black/death metal. Packed with memorable guitar harmonies, furious blast beats, sinister melodies and an overwhelming sense of darkness and isolation, the album remains one of the strongest debuts in the genre in recent years.
This exclusive performance will bring the entire album to life, from beginning to end, in the atmospheric surroundings of the Forests of Voio, Greece.
A special celebration of the record that started it all, performed in full exclusively for DARKNESS GUIDES US 2027!
