1914
1914 (UKRAINE)
BROTHERHOOD FORGED IN WAR. A PERFORMANCE BEYOND MUSIC.
For Ukraine’s 1914, appearing at DARKNESS GUIDES US 2027 will carry a significance far beyond an ordinary festival performance.
Hailing from a country that continues to endure the devastating reality of war, 1914 have built their identity around the horrors, suffering and human tragedy of the First World War. Their crushing combination of blackened death metal, doom-laden passages and haunting battlefield atmospheres makes them one of the most distinctive bands in extreme metal.
Their appearance in the forests of Voio will be particularly meaningful, bringing them together with MINENWERFER, the American black metal force whose own musical identity is deeply rooted in the history and brutality of the First World War.
Two bands from opposite sides of the world, united by their fascination with one of humanity’s darkest chapters, sharing the same festival for an extraordinary occasion.
For 1914, the opportunity to perform their music before an international audience, far from the realities of war at home, will make this appearance especially significant.
For MINENWERFER, whose highly anticipated European appearance is already one of the festival’s defining moments, the presence of 1914 adds another dimension to an exceptional gathering.
TWO BANDS. ONE SHARED HISTORY. A MEETING THAT GOES BEYOND THE STAGE.
