Stay beneath the trees

Free camping is included in the festival ticket price. Bring your tent and make the forest your home for the weekend, with no daily journey between your accommodation and the music.

The campsite will include toilets and showers. You will need to bring your own tent, sleeping bag, sleeping mat and other camping equipment. A torch, warm layers for the evening and rain protection are useful for a weekend in the countryside.

Campsite opening and closing times, arrival instructions, the layout and practical camping information will be announced before the festival. Details about vehicle access, campervans and any additional facilities will be confirmed separately.

Please help us look after the woodland: keep your pitch tidy, use the designated waste points and respect the people camping around you.

Kozani. A practical city base.

If you prefer a proper bed and a city stay, Kozani is a practical alternative to camping. Look for hotels, guesthouses, Airbnb listings and other self-catering apartments, with cafés, places to eat and shops available in the city.

Kozani gives you the option of a private room and a quieter morning before heading back to the festival. Allow around an hour or a little more each way to the Dicheimaro area, depending on your accommodation, route and the final festival entrance.

Daily return festival buses from Kozani are planned. Departure times, the pickup point, fares and reservation details will be announced. Before booking a room, compare its location with the confirmed bus meeting point, including how you will get back to your accommodation after the return journey.

Kastoria. A stay by the lake.

For those who want to combine the festival with a few days exploring Northern Greece, Kastoria is a beautiful choice. The city sits beside Lake Orestiada, with lakeside walks, historic neighbourhoods and distinctive old mansions. The traditional Doltso quarter is especially atmospheric, with streets and buildings that give the city much of its character.

Accommodation options include hotels, traditional guesthouses and holiday apartments, including Airbnb listings. It can suit visitors who want a scenic base, a relaxed morning by the water or extra nights before or after the festival.

There will be no festival buses leaving from Kastoria. Choose this option only if you have your own car or have arranged another reliable way to travel to and from the site. Plan the return after the music as well as your outward journey; do not rely on finding a late-night taxi without an arrangement.

Check the actual road journey from your property to the final festival entrance when the pin is released. A lakeside address or a short distance on a map does not tell you the full driving time.

Thessaloniki. City stay, longer journey.

Thessaloniki offers a wider city break alongside the festival: a waterfront, neighbourhood cafés, restaurants and plenty to explore before or after the weekend. It is also the arrival city for visitors flying into Thessaloniki Airport “Makedonia” (SKG).

You can look for hotels, guesthouses, Airbnb accommodation and other short-stay apartments. It is an option for visitors who want to extend their trip, but it involves a much longer journey to the festival than staying in Kozani or camping on site.

Festival buses from Thessaloniki will be limited. They will not operate as a frequent city shuttle. Check the confirmed departure and return timetable before booking accommodation or flights, and allow time to reach the pickup point from your hotel or apartment.

Allow roughly 2–2½ hours by car from Thessaloniki city centre to the Dicheimaro area, with additional time for traffic, stops and the final approach. Bus journeys may take longer. A city pickup should not be assumed to include a stop at the airport.

Hotels, guesthouses & Airbnb

Search by the city you want to stay in, rather than simply by “Voio” or “Kozani region”. A listing in the wider region may be far from the city centre, bus pickup point or festival site.

Before reserving, check the full address, check-in and late-arrival arrangements, cancellation terms, parking if you are driving, and the journey to your transport meeting point. For an apartment or Airbnb, confirm how you will collect the keys if you arrive after the host’s usual check-in time.

Rooms, availability and prices are set by the individual accommodation providers. This page does not announce partner hotels, special festival rates or reserved room allocations. Contact your chosen property or host directly for booking details.

If you need specific accessibility features, confirm them with the accommodation provider and speak to us about your festival arrival requirements before travelling.

A few practical questions

Do I pay extra to camp?

No. Free camping is included in the festival ticket price. Bring your own camping equipment; campsite access dates and arrival details will be announced.

Will the campsite have toilets and showers?

Yes. The camping area will include toilets and showers. Further practical information will be published before the festival.

Will there be buses from Kastoria?

No. There will be no festival buses from Kastoria. Arrange your own transport in both directions if you choose to stay there.

Can I stay in Thessaloniki and use the festival buses?

Yes, but services from Thessaloniki will be limited. Check the confirmed timetable and any reservation requirements before making your plans.
