Winter Eternal
WINTER ETERNAL (GREECE/SCOTLAND)
THE FROZEN SPIRIT OF ’90s MELODIC BLACK METAL!
Founded in Athens in 2011 and now based in Scotland, WINTER ETERNAL is the creation of Soulreaper, the musician and driving force behind the band’s distinctive sound.
Drawing heavily from the glorious days of ’90s Scandinavian melodic black metal and the unmistakable spirit of the early Hellenic scene, WINTER ETERNAL deliver a powerful combination of razor-sharp melodic riffs, icy atmospheres, furious drumming and passionate, tortured vocals.
With influences ranging from Dissection and Vinterland to the classic Greek black metal tradition, Soulreaper has developed a sound that remains faithful to its roots while establishing a character of its own.
Through acclaimed releases such as Land of Darkness, Echoes of Primordial Gnosis and the latest album, Unveiled Nightsky (2026), released through Hells Headbangers Records, WINTER ETERNAL have steadily earned recognition among devotees of traditional melodic black metal.
At DARKNESS GUIDES US 2027, Soulreaper and WINTER ETERNAL will bring their frostbitten melodies and uncompromising black metal to the forests of Voio.
FOR THOSE WHO STILL CARRY THE SPIRIT OF THE ’90s BLACK METAL UNDERGROUND!
