Info & FAQ

Info & FAQ

Everything you need to plan your days in Voio: tickets, camping, travel and life beyond the stage. Final timetables and any remaining arrangements will be announced here.

The festival

When and where is Darkness Guides Us 2027?

10–12 September 2027, in the Dicheimaro area of the Voio forests, Northern Greece. This is a three-day gathering in a rural forest setting, near the wider Kozani region. The exact entrance pin and final driving directions will be announced.

Where can I find the bands and running order?

The Line-up page links to each artist’s profile, with their biography, media and social links where available. Day splits, running order, stage times and the final activity programme will be announced separately. Follow the official festival pages for updates.

Is capacity limited?

Yes. This is a limited-capacity forest gathering. Only the ticket types and availability shown on the official festival ticket page should be treated as current.

Tickets, refunds & transfers

What does the full festival pass include?

Admission to all three festival days, free camping with toilets and showers, free festival shuttle transport from Kozani and Thessaloniki, and a hard-copy ticket for every attendee. Bring your own camping equipment. Meals, drinks, accommodation outside the campsite and the optional Athens bus are separate. Hard-copy collection details will be announced.

How much are the festival passes?

The first 100 full festival passes are €180 each. The next 500 are €200 each, after the early release sells out. Check the official ticket page for the current release and availability.

Where do I buy tickets and how will I receive them?

Use the dedicated festival Tickets page for official booking and sale availability. After a confirmed booking, the PDF ticket is sent by email with a QR code for each attendee. Have the QR code ready on your phone or bring a printed copy; saving it offline is a good idea. Check your spam folder if the email is missing, then contact us with your booking reference.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. Festival tickets are fully refundable until 10 June 2027, three months before the festival begins. To request a refund, email dguproductions666@gmail.com with your booking reference and purchase details before the deadline.

Are tickets named, and can I give mine to someone else?

Tickets are issued in the purchaser’s name, but they are fully transferable. The person attending only needs the valid ticket for entry; there is no ID check or requirement to match the purchaser’s name. Keep the QR code private and only pass it to the person who will use the ticket. A transfer does not create an extra admission: do not share or sell duplicate copies.

Why do you ask about camping and shuttles at checkout?

Each attendee is asked whether they intend to camp and whether they expect to use the Thessaloniki shuttle, the Kozani shuttle, both, or neither. Please answer for each attendee so we can plan facilities and transport. These planning answers are not a substitute for any seat-reservation instructions announced later.

Camping & places to stay

Is camping included, and are there toilets and showers?

Yes. Camping is included in the festival ticket price, with toilets and showers provided. Bring your own tent, sleeping bag and other camping essentials. Campsite opening and closing times, layout and arrival instructions will be announced before the festival.

Can I stay in a hotel, Airbnb or guesthouse instead?

Of course. Kozani is a practical base, approximately an hour from the festival area, with hotels, guesthouses and apartments. Kastoria is another beautiful option, but there is no festival shuttle from Kastoria, so arrange your own transport. Thessaloniki also offers many accommodation choices, but involves a longer journey and limited festival bus capacity. Check the final shuttle timetable before booking your stay.

What should I bring?

Bring your ticket saved offline, suitable closed shoes, warm layers, a torch or headlamp, a charged phone, a power bank, ear protection and any personal medication. If camping, bring a tent, sleeping bag, sleeping mat and your own essentials. Do not assume individual power points, charging facilities, tent hire or campervan services will be available; details will be announced where provided.

Getting here & festival buses

Which airport should I use?

Thessaloniki Airport (SKG) is the airport to plan around. Allow roughly 2½–3 hours by road to the festival area, depending on route and traffic. Festival shuttle pickup arrangements will be announced separately; do not assume there will be a direct airport pickup.

Are the Kozani and Thessaloniki shuttles free?

Yes. Festival shuttles from Kozani and Thessaloniki are included with your festival ticket. Services will run across the three festival days. The current plan is a Kozani connection approximately every three hours, with limited departures from Thessaloniki. Exact pickup points, departure and return times, capacity and any seat-booking procedure will be announced before travel. Please plan around the published timetable rather than assuming an on-demand service.

What about the bus from Athens?

The optional Athens return bus costs €40 per passenger for both journeys. It departs Athens on Friday morning, 10 September 2027, and leaves the festival after Sunday’s programme at midnight: 00:00 on Monday, 13 September 2027. The exact Athens pickup point and Friday departure time will be announced. This is transport only: festival admission is purchased separately.

Can I drive, and will there be parking?

You can plan to travel by car via the Kozani / Voio region. Final access directions, the entrance map pin and parking arrangements will be published before the festival. Follow the event signs and staff instructions, keep access roads clear and do not park across tracks or emergency routes. Do not drive after drinking.

Food, drink & beyond the stage

Will there be food and drink on site?

Yes. There will be multiple food and drink choices, including hot food, vegetarian options, water, soft drinks, beer and spirits. Vendor names, menus and further dietary options will be announced. For allergies or specific dietary needs, contact us in advance and check ingredients directly with each vendor. Food and drinks are not included in the festival pass.

What else is happening besides the bands?

The festival goes beyond the main stage: moonlight acoustic sessions, an afterparty tent, a confirmed merch market with distros to be announced, and morning hikes with local guides on Saturday and Sunday before the main programme. Further plans include historical reenactment activities, a tattoo artist and a Sunday barbecue. Full schedules, participants, any separate charges and practical details will be announced with the programme.

How do the guided hikes work?

Local guides will lead morning walks on Saturday and Sunday to explore the surrounding area before the festival programme starts. Meeting points, routes, duration, suitability and any signup arrangements will be announced. Wear suitable shoes, bring water and stay with the guide; do not set off into unfamiliar forest alone.

Forest common sense & looking after each other

What should I know about bears and other wildlife?

We are guests in a forest landscape shared with wildlife, including brown bears. A little common sense helps protect everyone: never approach or feed wildlife, keep food and rubbish out of your tent, and follow the team’s instructions for secure storage and waste disposal. Do not leave food scraps around camp or head into the woods alone at night. If you see a bear, stay calm, do not run, give it space and quietly back away without blocking its escape route. Do not move closer for a photo, especially near cubs. Tell festival staff promptly about sightings near the site.

Can I light a fire or use a barbecue?

Do not light your own campfire or barbecue in the forest or campsite. Use the organised food areas and follow the team’s fire-safety instructions. Any festival-run cooking or organised activity must follow the site’s safety arrangements. Dispose of cigarette ends properly, never on the forest floor.

How do we keep the forest and campsite clean?

Use the designated waste points, keep bins closed where provided, and leave no bottles, cans, food scraps or camping equipment behind. Respect trees, plants, paths and nearby communities. Keep access routes clear and follow staff instructions. Leave the forest as you would hope to find it.

What if I need help or there is an emergency?

Speak to festival staff or security as soon as you need help, feel unsafe or notice a problem. In an immediate emergency in Greece, call 112 free of charge and give your location and a clear description of what has happened. The final site map and on-site assistance points will be shared before the festival.

Access, entry & contact

I have access requirements. Who should I contact?

Please email dguproductions666@gmail.com before booking or finalising travel, describing the access support you need. This is a rural outdoor forest setting, so do not assume step-free routes, level ground or specific accessible facilities until we have confirmed the arrangements with you. We will share more detailed access information as site planning is finalised.

What are the rules for arrival, re-entry, children and pets?

Gate and campsite hours, re-entry arrangements, age policy, pet policy and the final entry rules will be announced before the festival. Please contact us before making plans that depend on any of these arrangements. Do not assume early campsite access or admission for a child or animal without confirmation.

How can I contact the organisers or find the latest information?

Email dguproductions666@gmail.com. For booking questions, include your booking reference; for travel or access questions, explain what you need so we can help. Check the festival’s Tickets, Location & Travel, Where to Stay and Beyond the Stage pages for updates. Final practical announcements will be published before the event.
